On Blogging and Losing Interest In It
I’ve been pretty much slacking off on blogging lately. School seriously took most of my time and when I do have time, I have no idea what I should blog (or whatever you call this) about. The thought of deleting this blog or moving to another platform is also a thing I’ve been considering lately. Who wouldn’t? It feels like Tumblr is more of a reblog site now. A site for pretty pictures.
But being the sucker I am for memories and whatnot, I can’t do that. Besides, this blog made it possible for me to meet a lot of people - some that I have been really close with that I consider them as internet best friends (if there is such a thing), some that I want to be closer friends with, or even just being a reader of their blog - that I would want to meet in person. When everything isn’t well with the real world, I have this to turn to. And it makes things better.
This has been my creative outlet (am I even creative?) for years and I don’t want that to change. But when everyone’s busy with school or work, it’s just…different. Blogging is more enjoyable during the summer when everyone (or rather, a lot) of people are actually blogging. I don’t even look at my Tumblr app everyday anymore. I’ve been more active on Twitter ever since I made a new account there. I feel like everything can be said in 140 characters or less nowadays. I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing.
Anyway, it’s the start of a new month! August has been one hell of a roller coaster ride. For a lot of reasons. I really do hope September would be a whole lot better. For everyone. As for blogging, let’s just wait and see where this goes. Writing this post made me miss blogging. I sure wish I had more time and motivation to do that every time.
